THE DETAILS
The experience began with a Cisco brand ambassador engaging attendees to participate. With a swipe of their badge at an embedded badge reader, they were prompted to select their beat. Attendees chose between Funky, Techno, Disco and Trap.
Once the music started, attendees were prompted to wave their arms for a quick test run. Bubbles appeared in time with the music. Participants “popped” the bubbles by dancing – waving an arm, kicking a leg (doing a jig). When the music stopped, attendees could generate their personalized GIF, an abstract motion graphic of their dance moves that they could then share on social. Each GIF also became part of a collective photo mosaic -- a digital, dynamic, billboard of the GIFs captured throughout the four-day show.
The Move it to Make IT experience was custom built from start-to-finish – seamlessly woven into the overall Cisco Live experience and artfully designed to bring Cisco’s You Make Possible campaign to life. Stand-out elements included built-in LED lighting that lined each station to enable high quality motion capture, and connected badge scan reader tied into the show's registration system. All four stations captured, processed, rendered and output GIFs into the collective photo mosaic real-time – a huge feat of computing power.
THE BOTTOM LINE
Move it to Make IT created a tangible experience that enabled a more emotional connection between attendees and their Cisco Live experience. Beyond that, what they created became part of something bigger and was immediately shareable with their friends, family and peers.
The shareable, bite-size content output from the experience was served up in other areas of the event as well. Move it to Make IT GIFs were
featured in the social media hub and digitally on Cisco Live social handles.
Over the course of the exposition:
4TB worth of motion capture data was processed
700 unique Move it to Make IT attendee experiences
4 hours worth of GIF footage was sent by email
26 hours of the You Make Possible Mosaic was produced and shared real-time
