Favorite Trade Show City Restaurants, Part 2

As our minds turn to the holiday season, we’ll admit we also start thinking a lot more about food. So this seemed like a good time to once again poll our staffers for their favorite spots to eat while on the road—and give you some new places to try while in some of the biggest trade show cities in the country.

You can check out the results of our first polling in favorite trade show city restaurants, part 1.

Las Vegas

  1. Lotus of Siam Consistently voted best Thai in Vegas and a place where lots of locals eat. Try the khao soi crispy duck and you’ll see why.
  2. Lindo Michoacán  Located in the Desert Inn, this hands-down favorite wins best Mexican in Las Vegas year after year. Perfect for larger groups, especially when there’s a birthday involved. Don’t ask, just see for yourself!

Washington, D.C.

  1. Chaplins When the mood strikes, good Ramen can really hit the spot. Décor emulates the 1930’s golden age of Hollywood. Great craft cocktails, too.
  2. The Pig  Where traditional barbeque meets healthy, local, fresh ingredients. Picture, for example, perfectly cooked confit shank with sweet potato puree and pearl onions. Yum.

New York

  1. Sunac Natural Market A short walk from Javits for those in search of a quick, healthy lunch. Classic sandwiches, smoothies and an organic juice bar make it a big favorite with trade show exhibitors.

  1. Hub 51 Vodka drinks on tap. After a long day on your feet on hard cement at the convention center, need we say more?
  2. Reggie’s Chicago Home to one of Chicago’s hottest live music scenes and just a short walk from the McCormick Place convention center. Slow-cooked, char-grilled burgers, chicken and ribs go way beyond your typical bar food.

New Orleans

  1. Louisiana Pizza Kitchen A Creole spin on traditional wood-fired gourmet pizza, as delicious as it is unique.
  2. Port of Call Without question the best burgers in the Big Easy and a huge favorite of the labor crew. Served not with fries but an elegantly dressed  baked potato.

If your mind wasn’t on food before, I’m sure it is now. Our team of trade show experts can help you navigate any city, or any situation, for that matter. So, get in touch, we'd love to talk.
